About the event

The event will discuss the pressures on young girls and women to conform to cultural ideals of what women 'should' be, how they 'should' act and behave in accordance with cultural norms and standards. We will be discussing the consequences of these expectations on young girls/women and how to navigate past cultural expectations. 

Hosted by our Founder Reina - a human rights lawyer, advocate, facilitator and writer. Reina has a plethora of experience working with young girls and women from minority communities on a domestic and international level. She has dedicated her career to advocating for the rights and recognition of girls and women from minority communities.
